About The Position

This role involves operating and maintaining laboratory equipment, performing various tests, preparing solutions, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The technician will be responsible for setting up and adjusting equipment, obtaining samples, regulating chemical reactions, and documenting test results. Additionally, the position requires maintaining a clean laboratory environment, calibrating instruments, and performing annual customer testing. A strong understanding of chemicals and paint line experience are essential, along with computer proficiency and the ability to follow safety procedures.

Requirements

• Computer skills
• Knowledge & use of electrostatic applications/powder coating processes/wet spray applications
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
• Proficient communication skills
• Follow safety and environmental procedures
• Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location
• Paint Line experience required
• Computer skills required
• Strong understanding of chemicals required
• Ability to sit, stand and/or walk constantly over a full work shift (8-12 hours)
• Ability to reach and/or pull for a full work shift (8-12 hours)

Responsibilities

• Sets up, adjusts, and operates laboratory equipment and instruments.
• Obtains sample for laboratory tests and bacteria checks.
• Regulates and adjusts control devices to bring about proper chemical reaction.
• Fills out mandatory regulatory test reports and labels hazardous waste drums correctly.
• Cleans laboratory equipment and calibrates instruments.
• Prepares chemical solutions.
• Performs annual testing for customers.
