About The Position

BrightBee is partnering with Lantern Learning Group to recruit caring, energetic Preschool Teachers who are passionate about helping young children learn, grow, and thrive. In this role, you’ll support children ages 5 and under, creating a safe, engaging classroom where curiosity, creativity, and early learning come to life. You’ll guide children through daily routines, foster positive social-emotional development, and help build the foundation for lifelong learning. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • A genuine passion for working with young children
  • Patience, creativity, and a nurturing personality
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Dependable attendance and reliability
  • Ability to meet all childcare licensing requirements
  • Ability to complete required background checks and annual training
  • Undergo a background check
  • Follow safety and reporting guidelines
  • Reliable personal transportation is required to consistently reach the worksite.

Responsibilities

  • Create a fun, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment for preschool-aged children.
  • Plan and lead activities that support children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
  • Facilitate learning through games, music, storytelling, arts and crafts, outdoor play, and hands-on exploration.
  • Foster positive classroom behavior while maintaining a safe and welcoming environment.
  • Observe children's development and communicate progress or concerns with leadership.
  • Adapt activities to meet the varying developmental needs and interests of each child.
  • Support daily classroom routines including meals, hygiene, transitions, and rest periods.
  • Provide hands-on care, including diaper changing, for children who require it. Approximately 50% of the children served are still in the diaper stage.
  • Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow educators.
  • Maintain classroom organization, cleanliness, and safety.
  • Attend staff meetings and required trainings.
  • Report illnesses, injuries, safety concerns, or suspected abuse according to licensing requirements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the success of the program.
