About The Position

Praxent builds software for financial services companies, focusing on application development for banks, insurers, lenders, payments companies, and wealth platforms, and is expanding into data platforms and AI services. The company is investing in the Microsoft ecosystem, and this role is central to that strategy. The Pre-Sales Solutions Architect will be the technical representative of Praxent within the Microsoft channel for financial services, collaborating with Microsoft account teams, engaging with FSI executives to identify funding opportunities, and owning the technical solution and its economic viability. This role involves end-to-end proposal ownership, including pricing, scoping, requirements gathering, SOW writing, and co-leading RFPs. The architect will also build total cost of ownership and ROI cases, size Azure consumption, and build Proofs of Concept (POCs) quickly. This is a pre-sales role with a mandate to help build a demand engine, supported by significant investment and leadership opportunities as the practice grows.

  • 10+ years in financial services technology.
  • 7+ years in or alongside the Microsoft field, with established relationships and knowledge of the co-sell motion (Partner Center, co-sell ready offers, MACC, partner funding).
  • Commercial ownership experience: pricing proposals, defining scopes, writing signed SOWs, and building/defending effort models.
  • Executive presence: credibility with CIOs/CEOs and ability to be succinct.
  • Comfort with $2-3M+ multi-year, multi-tower deal sizes.
  • Builder's instinct: ability to prototype fast to move deals.
  • Working knowledge of the FSI regulatory landscape.
  • Azure architecture credibility (AZ-305 preferred, or willingness to obtain within six months).
  • Sufficient agentic depth to scope one (Foundry, Agent 365, evals, human-in-the-loop gates, audit logging, cost of running agents at volume).

Nice To Haves

  • Microsoft Fabric and Purview experience; Azure Databricks experience also counts.
  • Experience at a Microsoft Partner of the Year firm, or at Microsoft.
  • Experience building FSI-specific IP or accelerators.
  • Experience establishing a practice or offering from inception.
  • Hands-on experience with AI-assisted engineering workflows (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar) beyond theoretical knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Own the technical story for Praxent's Microsoft offer in financial services, across Azure modernization, Fabric and Purview data foundation, and agents on Foundry governed by Agent 365.
  • Work with sellers and the Microsoft field to qualify opportunities and position Praxent as the technical choice.
  • Own proposals: pricing, scoping, requirements gathering, and SOW writing, co-leading RFPs with the salesperson.
  • Architect the economics (total cost of ownership and ROI) and size Azure consumption.
  • Identify and secure Microsoft partner funding for pursuits.
  • Engage effectively with CIOs and CEOs, communicating key information concisely.
  • Develop POCs and working artifacts rapidly to support pursuits.
  • Architect on the Microsoft stack, leveraging the delivery team for deep technical expertise and handing off clean scope.
