To strengthen our Prepress Team in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico, we are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Prepress Technician. The successful candidate will prepare customer artwork and production files for high-quality printing, ensuring accuracy, color consistency, and compliance with production requirements. This role requires strong technical expertise in prepress processes, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering press-ready files that support efficient manufacturing and the production of high-quality folding cartons.

Requirements

An Associate degree in Graphic Arts or a related field; a Bachelor's degree is an advantage.
At least 2 years of experience in prepress, graphic arts, or packaging production.
Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, and Esko software; experience with packaging workflows is preferred.
A solid understanding of color management, trapping, imposition, proofing, and offset printing processes.
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
Able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and meeting production deadlines.
Work effectively both independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
Committed to quality, continuous improvement, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Nice To Haves

Experience with packaging workflows is preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepare and verify customer artwork and production files to ensure they are press-ready and meet quality and production requirements.
Perform preflight inspections, apply trapping, color corrections, separations, impositions, and create proofs for customer approval.
Ensure color accuracy, barcode compliance, and adherence to ICC profile and printing standards.
Collaborate closely with Structural Design, Production, and Quality teams to support efficient manufacturing and resolve technical issues.
Operate and perform routine maintenance on the plate processor to ensure optimal performance and consistent print quality.
Maintain organized digital files, documentation, and workflow records while supporting continuous improvement initiatives and quality objectives.
Contribute to a safe, efficient, and high-performing work environment by following company policies and industry best practices.
