About The Position

This role is responsible for creating die lines for new labels and building jobs from customer-supplied art using Esko and Adobe Software. The technician will attend pre-production calls, support print trials (including travel when needed), and provide technical support for the ASDs digital presses. Additionally, the role involves training new personnel, performing fit-for-use (FFU) tasks for artwork, attending press approvals for color matching and file review, and working overtime as needed to complete assigned duties.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or associate degree from an accredited two-year college or graphics arts school; or 5 years’ experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proven experience with job building and understanding graphic design
  • Must have good trouble shooting capabilities
  • Understanding of Digital, flexographic and rotary screen printing
  • Must have good interpersonal skills and be able to interface with all departments
  • Must understand color theory and be able to color match jobs on digital presses
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Must have the ability to match or detect differences between colors, including shades of color and brightness
  • Must be able to function as part of a team in sharing information, flexible schedules, training of others team members and working together to complete a task
  • Must be able to work under pressure
  • Must be able to lift and/or move 10 pounds
  • Must be able to understand and carry out oral instructions as well as read, understand and carry out simple and complicated written instructions
  • Must be able to inspect, examine and observe for obvious and hard to see product or equipment defects

Responsibilities
