About The Position

Sentara Leigh is hiring a Pre/Post Procedural Nurse for the Vascular Care Center. This is an outpatient department with 6 pre-post bays and 2 procedure rooms, providing care for dialysis patients seeking evaluation and intervention of their established dialysis vascular access. The Registered Nurse will prep and recover patients undergoing AV Fistulograms, AV Graft Thrombectomies, and TDC placements. Responsibilities also include providing moderate sedation and assisting in the circulator role within the procedure room. The role involves performing invasive vascular procedures to establish and maintain dialysis access. The position offers opportunities for career growth and advancement within Sentara. This position's primary duties include assessing/admitting patients, rounding checks, giving medications, talking with family members, and being responsible for the overall care of your patients. Requirements

At least 1 year of experience in Cath Holding, Cath Lab, Vascular, IR or Endoscopy labs, ICU or ED.

Responsibilities

Prep and recovery patients undergoing AV Fistulograms, AV Graft Thrombectomies, and TDC placements for the outpatient population.
Provide moderate sedation.
Assist in the circulator role within the procedure room.
