Requirements

  • Candidates interested in this position MUST possess at least 1-year minimum experience in Cardiology, Cardiac, telemetry, or ICU.
  • Prior or current experience working in a high acuity setting is REQUIRED

Responsibilities

  • Working closely with all 20 physicians in the group, our Nurse practitioner will assist in managing high acuity post-op patients with the best care possible.
  • Cardiovascular issues include but not limited to acute coronary syndrome, chest pain, heart failure, arrhythmias, valvular disease, peripheral artery disease, aortic aneurysm, and venous thromboembolism/pulmonary embolism in our outpatient setting with collaborating physician.
  • Will assist with medication adjustments depending on patient's clinical status.
  • Post operative cardiac evaluation.
  • Order diagnostic studies, tests, labs and review pertinent labs/studies (nuclear imaging testing, EKGs, echocardiograms, stress tests, etc.).
  • Review telemetry readings.
  • Educate patients on diagnosis, medications, dietary restrictions related to cardiovascular disease.
  • Communicate with other specialties regarding patient care.
  • Will also perform and supervise stress echoes in the office.
