Requirements

  • Graduate of an RN nursing program, upon hire
  • Registered Nurse: NE, upon hire
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support, within 5 - months
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support, within 5 - months

Responsibilities

  • Leverage expertise to provide individualized, comprehensive care

  • Perform skilled procedures
  • Meticulously implement patient care plans
  • Collaborate seamlessly within an interdisciplinary team, contributing to a dynamic environment focused on optimal patient outcomes
  • Follow the nursing process which includes: assess, plan, implement, and evaluate
  • Demonstrate a systematic, dynamic way to collect and analyze healthcare consumer data including: psychological, physiological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic and lifestyle factors
  • Set measurable and achievable short and long term goals according to standards of care based on the assessment by the nurse in collaboration with the healthcare consumer and multidisciplinary team
  • Implement and/or modify the plan of care using assessment data, clinical reasoning based upon standards of care and evidence based practice
  • Perform care coordination, education and discharge planning
  • Be accountable for the care directly, indirectly or through delegation, following professional and legal standards for delegation
  • Use a systematic ongoing process to evaluate progress towards identified healthcare consumer goals
  • Revise the plan of care when needed involving the healthcare consumer and the multidisciplinary team
  • Document all phases of the nursing process in the healthcare consumer’s record
