About The Position

Broward Specialty Surgical Center is hiring a Pre OP PACU RN, Full Time. At Broward Specialty Surgical Center, health and care are inseparable, with a mission to care for every patient and their family as if they were their own. The center utilizes technology for surgeons to perform procedures in specialty areas including Colorectal Surgery, Gastroenterology, General Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Otolaryngology, Pain Management, Podiatry, and Urology. The PACU Registered Nurse is responsible for providing continuous, quality nursing care for all patients, continually evaluating their condition, and ensuring patient safety, comfort, and privacy. This role may involve assisting physicians in procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation, and sterile techniques. The nurse will also provide comprehensive patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, for patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation, in preparation for discharge.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
Active RN license in the state
BLS and ACLS Required
Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit
Strong communication skills, verbal and written

Nice To Haves

2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred
PALS if required by the center

Responsibilities
