About The Position

Eastwest Georgia Surgery Center is hiring a Pre Op PACU Registered Nurse. The role provides continuity and quality nursing care for patients, continually evaluates their condition, and supports their safety, comfort, and privacy. The nurse may assist physicians in procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation, and sterile techniques as appropriate. The role also provides comprehensive care for patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patients and their families in preparation for discharge.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Current State of Georgia Nursing License.
• Current CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Demonstrate clinical competency, leadership, and teaching capabilities.
• Be physically and emotionally capable of performing the responsibilities of the position.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Ability to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an intra-operative setting preferred.
