About The Position

Prime Inc. is hiring a local Pre-Loader/Local Driver in Minooka. The role involves local runs along I-55, with drivers home after each shift. Trucks have automatic transmissions, and the position is based at a new facility with new equipment. Overnight availability is required, on a rotating schedule of four days on and four days off, from 5 p.m. to 5 a.m. Cross-training for tank-wash duties may be required during downtime. Candidates must have a valid CDL and a clean driving record, and must pass a DOT physical before being hired. The posting lists either five months of over-the-road experience or six months of day-cab experience within the last six months; its qualifications section also specifies a minimum of six months of OTR experience with a 53-foot trailer within the last two years. A high school diploma or GED is required.

Requirements

Responsibilities

Transport empty and clean trailers to customer or drop-yard locations.
Transport loaded trailers to the yard so drivers can drop and hook there rather than at customer locations.
Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks and trailers.
Clean the truck daily after use.
Cross-train for tank-wash responsibilities during downtime, as required.
Perform related work as required.
