About The Position

We're looking for a Pre-Litigation (Pre-Lit) Attorney with at least 3 years of dedicated experience supporting plaintiff-side personal injury cases and leading a team of legal staff. We do everything we can for our clients and we're looking for an attorney who is as client focused as we are! The Pre-Litigation Attorney is part of a team that handles personal injury cases including but not limited to auto accidents, dog bites, premise liability, and other injuries for legal proceedings. This role will help provide oversight for a staff of case managers, and/or paralegals, case manager assistants, and negotiators.

Requirements

Juris Doctor(JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Active membership in the State Bar of North Carolina with good standing.
Minimum of three to five (3-5) years demonstrated negotiations and settlement experience.
Must possess at least three (3) years of experience leading and mentoring staff within a legal setting.
Minimum of three (3) years of pre-litigation or similar experience, with proven experience in personal injury law preferred.
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Ability to quickly assimilate oral and written data, analyze facts, and draw logical conclusions.
Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
Must be able to exercise extensive independent judgment to make decisions in carrying out assignments that have substantial impact on the department.
Excellent written, verbal, and negotiation communication skills.
Must be Bilingual. Proficient in English and Spanish in both written and verbal communication.
Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
Commitment to providing high-quality legal representation and client service.
Ability to work independently, as part of a team, and cross-departmentally to reach firm goals.
Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team of non-attorney staff to obtain the best results for clients.
Must be able to efficiently and effectively utilize a CMS (Client Management System).
Proven utilization of technology, including computers, databases, portals, and software, needed to successfully perform the job.
Exhibits a professional and courteous demeanor to team members and the public with demonstrated compassion and empathy for clients, with the ability to de-escalate when needed.
High level of professionalism and ethical behavior.

Responsibilities

Manage a high-volume caseload from intake through resolution with support from a broader team.
