About The Position

Shook & Stone, a well-established, award-winning law firm headquartered in Las Vegas, Nevada, is seeking an experienced Pre-Litigation and Intake Managing Attorney. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing the firm’s pre-litigation case management operations while supervising a team of Case Managers and Legal Assistants. The Pre-Litigation Department Managing Attorney will develop, refine, and implement strategies to improve case quality, client communication, workflow efficiency, and the overall client experience. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated, client-focused attorney who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has the leadership skills necessary to guide a high-volume personal injury pre-litigation team. This position will also work with our Intake Team to oversee conversion of quality leads in collaboration with Intake Divisional Leadership.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school with an active license to practice law in the State of Nevada.
  • Minimum of 3 years of personal injury experience.
  • Strong understanding of personal injury claims, insurance issues, liability evaluation, medical damages, treatment coordination, and settlement strategy.
  • Ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Friendly, professional, and approachable demeanor.
  • Strong client-service mindset and sound legal judgment.
  • Experience with SmartAdvocate or similar case management software.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior management or supervisory experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, mentor, and oversee training of Case Managers, Legal Assistants, and other staff.
  • Develop, refine, and implement case management protocols to improve efficiency, consistency, and client experience.
  • Ensure cases move forward promptly and appropriately from sign-up through resolution or transfer to litigation.
  • Review and evaluate personal injury claims, including liability, damages, insurance coverage, medical treatment, and case viability.
  • Provide legal guidance to Case Managers on case strategy, client issues, insurance matters, treatment concerns, and claim development.
  • Monitor case quality, client communication, deadlines, documentation, and department workflows.
  • Negotiate settlements as appropriate and identify cases that should be referred to litigation and coordinate timely handoff.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with relevant professionals, including physicians, medical providers, and other attorneys.
  • Assist firm leadership in improving department performance, processes, and key operational metrics.
