About The Position

Clarvida is seeking a Pre-Licensed Therapist for its Lancaster program. This role focuses on providing mental health treatment services to maximize client independence and family empowerment. The Pre-Licensed Therapist will offer individual, group, family, and couples counseling to assist individuals in achieving more effective personal, social, educational, and vocational development and adjustment. This position is ideal for individuals with a master’s degree in counseling, social work, or related fields who are currently pursuing licensure, offering paid clinical experience and supervision. Clinicians will gain supervised clinical hours required for licensure while providing mental health services in outpatient, telehealth, or community settings.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or related field from an accredited school
• Valid Registration as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, Associate Professional Clinical Counselor or Associate Clinical Social Worker
• Minimum of two (2) years’ experience working with mental health patients (inpatient and outpatient)
• Valid CA driver’s license and active auto insurance

• Exposure to diverse client populations and therapeutic modalities, including CBT, trauma-informed care, and DBT strategies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and develop treatment plans under supervision.
• Provide individual, group, or family therapy sessions.
• Maintain client documentation and participate in team meetings.
• Receive clinical supervision to meet licensure requirements.
