About The Position

Koinonia Family Services is seeking a part-time pre-licensed clinician to serve clients in their mental health program in Temecula, CA. This is a hybrid position, involving in-person appointments and team meetings at the Temecula office, with remote work for other tasks. Koinonia is a leading children's services agency in California. The role involves preparing assessments, developing person-centered treatment plans, providing therapy, and completing Medi-Cal approval paperwork and other documentation. The position offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on the lives of youth and families, fostering hope and healing. The pay is $30.00 per hour or higher, based on qualifications. The company provides paid clinical supervision towards BBS licensure and opportunities to work alongside experienced licensed professionals learning evidence-based treatment modalities. Agency-paid licensure supervision is provided for associate clinical social workers. This is a part-time role, up to 28 hours per week, with a typical schedule including afternoons and early evenings.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in social work (MSW)
  • Current registration as an ACSW or AMFT, or current licensure as an LCSW or LMFT (required)
  • Experience completing assessments and care plans
  • Skilled in therapeutic modalities, assessments, and treatment planning
  • Strong commitment to cultural competency and ethical practices
  • Passion for ongoing professional development
  • Must complete a criminal background clearance through the California Department of Justice and FBI
  • Must complete a pre-employment physical and TB test
  • Requires a valid driver’s license, auto insurance and reliable transportation as driving is an essential job function

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of experience in a social service setting, working with children and families (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Complete the intake of referrals for mental health services
  • Complete assessments to inform a diagnosis
  • Develop person-centered treatment plans
  • Provide individual therapy in clients' homes or in-office depending upon clients’ needs
  • Evaluates clinical interventions to meet desired outcomes
  • Write notes and document client progress
  • Complete CANS assessments and maintain annual CANS certification
  • Complete necessary Medi-Cal approval paperwork and related documentation
  • Facilitate Child and Family Team meetings
  • Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities
  • Assists with coordinating discharges and after-care efforts
  • Maintains intern registration and/or licensure status in good standing and participates in required supervision
