About The Position

St. Clare of Assisi Catholic School is seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Pre‑K Teacher Aide to support the classroom teacher in providing a nurturing, faith‑filled, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for young children. The ideal candidate will demonstrate patience, creativity, and a genuine love for working with early childhood learners. The Pre‑K Teacher Aide assists with instructional activities, classroom management, supervision, and the daily routines that help children grow academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually.

Requirements

Experience working with young children in a school, preschool, or childcare setting preferred.
Warm, patient, and nurturing disposition with a love for early learners.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to follow directions, assist with lesson implementation, and support classroom management.
Ability to lift, bend, sit on the floor, and engage in active play as needed.
Reliability, punctuality, and professionalism required.
Support for the mission and values of St. Clare of Assisi Catholic School and the Catholic Church.

Responsibilities

Support the Pre‑K teacher in implementing daily lessons, centers, and classroom activities.
Assist with supervising children during classroom time, outdoor play, specials, meals, rest time, and transitions.
Help create a welcoming, organized, and safe classroom environment.
Provide individualized support to students as needed, reinforcing concepts and guiding behavior.
Prepare classroom materials, supplies, and learning stations under the direction of the teacher.
Assist with maintaining cleanliness, organization, and sanitation in accordance with school and early‑childhood guidelines.
Model and support the Catholic values and mission of the school.
Communicate positively and professionally with students, staff, and families.
Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and school events as required.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the teacher or school administration.
