About The Position

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a Pre-K Supervisor/Lead Teacher for our After School Program at Frankfort-Schuyler Elementary School for the 2026–2027 school year. This role is ideal for individuals who love working with children, possess energy, kindness, and patience, and enjoy encouraging children's curiosity, creativity, and confidence. The position requires strong teamwork and communication skills, reliability, organization, and a commitment to providing exceptional care. This role follows the school calendar with afternoon hours from 2:15 PM to 5:30 PM and is a part-time, non-exempt position.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 12 credits in early childhood education, child development, or a related field, plus one year of full-time teaching experience and one year of staff supervision experience in an early childhood setting
• Associate’s degree in early childhood education or a related field with a plan of study toward a Bachelor’s degree or a New York State Children’s Program Administrator Credential, plus two years of full-time teaching experience and two years of staff supervision experience
• New York State Children’s Program Administrator Credential with one year of full-time teaching experience and one year of staff supervision experience
• Child Development Associate (CDA) or other office-recognized credential, with a plan of study toward a Bachelor’s degree or a New York State Children’s Program Administrator Credential, plus two years of full-time teaching experience and two years of staff supervision experience.
• Willing and able to pass NYS OCFS background check
• Medically cleared to perform all job duties
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Friendly, professional, reliable, and team-oriented
• Able to meet physical demands of the role, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Able to lead and motivate a team and have a commitment to providing quality childcare.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum which includes fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities as well as homework completion.
• Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and acting as a positive role model for children in the program.
• Observe state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
• Support program operations, which may include attendance records, registration, and staffing responsibilities.
