About The Position

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a Pre-K Supervisor/Lead Teacher for our After School Program at Frankfort-Schuyler Elementary School in Frankfort, NY for the 2026–2027 school year. This role involves facilitating hands-on activities, providing a safe and fun environment, and supporting program operations. The ideal candidate loves working with children, brings energy and patience, encourages curiosity, and works well with teammates and families. This part-time, non-exempt position follows the school calendar with afternoon hours from 2:15 PM to 5:30 PM.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree with at least 12 credits in early childhood education, child development, or a related field, plus one year of full-time teaching experience and one year of staff supervision experience in an early childhood setting
• An Associate’s degree in early childhood education or a related field with a plan of study toward a Bachelor’s degree or a New York State Children’s Program Administrator Credential, plus two years of full-time teaching experience and two years of staff supervision experience
• A New York State Children’s Program Administrator Credential with one year of full-time teaching experience and one year of staff supervision experience
• A Child Development Associate (CDA) or other office-recognized credential, with a plan of study toward a Bachelor’s degree or a New York State Children’s Program Administrator Credential, plus two years of full-time teaching experience and two years of staff supervision experience.
• Must be willing and able to pass NYS OCFS background check
• Medically cleared to perform all job duties
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Friendly, professional, reliable, and team-oriented
• Able to meet physical demands of the role, including lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum which includes fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities as well as homework completion.
• Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and acting as a positive role model for children in the program.
• Observe state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
• Support program operations, which may include attendance records, registration, and staffing responsibilities.
