About The Position

The Pre-k Lead Teacher position is a part-time, non-exempt role located at the Patricia A. DiChiaro School in Yonkers, NY. The schedule follows the school calendar, with afternoon hours from 2:45 pm to 6:00 pm, though this is subject to change. Opportunities are available for morning, afternoon, or both programs. The ideal candidate loves working with children, helping them learn through play, and brings energy, kindness, and patience to each day. Requirements

• Associate's degree in Early Childhood, Child Development or a related field.
• Child Development Associate Credential or another Office-recognized credential specific to the preschool developmental period (with 1 year of experience).
• 9 Credits in Early Childhood, Child Development or a related field with a plan of study leading to Associates or other Office recognized credential (with 2 years of experience).
• Must be medically cleared to perform all job duties and free of communicable diseases, including tuberculosis (TB).
• Demonstrates a positive, friendly demeanor with strong interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with children, parents, and team members.
• Dependable, punctual, and professional in conduct and appearance.
• Able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds, and meet the physical demands of working with children.
