About The Position

The Malvern School is currently seeking a highly motivated, career-oriented Lead Teacher for the Pre-k classroom at The Malvern School of Collegeville, PA. This is a full-time position, Monday - Friday, ideally starting in August of 2026. The Malvern School is dedicated to educating young children through innovative programming, focusing on a quality, child-centered philosophy and clean, attractive facilities. The Malvern School curriculum is designed to meet or exceed the standards established by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), ensuring an environment with a focus on health and safety, well-trained teachers, excellent teaching materials, and a curriculum that is appropriately challenging and developmentally sound to provide high-quality education for children in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field.
  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, including 30 credit hours in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and 1 year of experience with children.
  • An associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and 2 years of experience with children.
  • An associate’s degree from an accredited college or university, including 30 credit hours in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and 3 years of experience with children.

Responsibilities

  • Teacher plans, supervises and implements a superior Early Childhood Educational program in accordance with school policies and The Malvern School philosophy.
  • Teacher maintains a safe, healthy and educational environment for the class.
  • Teacher communicates regularly with parents, in person and through the use of technology, meeting (or exceeding) parent expectations.
