About The Position

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a Pre-K Lead Teacher for our Before and After School Programs at Uriah Hill Elementary School for the 2026–2027 school year. This role involves facilitating hands-on activities, providing a safe and fun environment, and adhering to state and school policies. The position is part-time, following the school calendar, with opportunities for morning, afternoon, or both programs.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Early Childhood, Child Development or a related field.
  • Child Development Associate Credential or another Office-recognized credential specific to the preschool developmental period (with 1 year of experience).
  • 9 Credits in Early Childhood, Child Development or a related field with a plan of study leading to Associates or other Office recognized credential (with 2 years of experience).
  • Required health clearance, including TB screening, in accordance with state regulations.
  • Must demonstrate a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability.
  • Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds while actively engaging with children throughout the day.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum which includes fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities as well as homework completion.
  • Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and acting as a positive role model for children in the program.
  • Observe state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
  • Support program operations, which may include attendance records, registration, and staffing responsibilities.
