About The Position

Healthy Kids Programs is looking for someone energetic and passionate about working with kids to join the team as a Lead Teacher for our Before and After School Pre-k Program for the 2025-2026 school year. This is a part-time, non-exempt position with a pay rate of $15.00 per hour. The schedule involves a split shift, with a morning program from 6:45 AM to 7:45 AM and an afternoon program from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The role is located at Monroeville Elementary School in Monroeville, OH.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Child Development, Child Development Certificate.
  • Six college credits in Early Childhood Education or Child Development and Nine college credits in Education, Psychology, Health Care, Nursing, or any other field related to child growth or development.
  • Must be medically cleared to perform all job duties and free of communicable diseases, including tuberculosis (TB).
  • Demonstrates a positive, friendly demeanor with strong interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with children, parents, and team members.
  • Dependable, punctual, and professional in conduct and appearance.
  • Able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds, and meet the physical demands of working with children.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure staff and program operations consistently meet state regulations, Healthy Kids policies, and host school requirements.
  • Plan and lead engaging, hands-on activities aligned with the Healthy Kids Curriculum, including fitness, STEAM, academics, arts, and homework support.
  • Oversee daily operational tasks such as accurate attendance and registration tracking, scheduling, and maintaining appropriate staffing levels.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with parents and caregivers using the Playground App.
  • Communicate regularly with your direct report to share updates, address concerns, and support a positive team environment. Together, you will ensure high-quality care, strong staff morale, and proactive problem-solving.
