About The Position
Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a Pre-K Childcare Lead for our Before and After School Programs at Uriah Hill Elementary School for the 2026–2027 school year. This role involves facilitating hands-on activities, providing a safe and fun environment, and supporting program operations. The ideal candidate loves working with children, brings energy and patience, and enjoys encouraging their curiosity and creativity. Requirements
- Associate's degree in Early Childhood, Child Development or a related field.
- Child Development Associate Credential or another Office-recognized credential specific to the preschool developmental period (with 1 year of experience).
- 9 Credits in Early Childhood, Child Development or a related field with a plan of study leading to Associates or other Office recognized credential (with 2 years of experience).
- Must be medically cleared to perform all job duties and free of communicable diseases, including tuberculosis (TB).
- Demonstrates a positive, friendly demeanor with strong interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with children, parents, and team members.
- Dependable, punctual, and professional in conduct and appearance.
- Able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds, and meet the physical demands of working with children.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum which includes fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities as well as homework completion.
- Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and acting as a positive role model for children in the program.
- Observe state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
- Support program operations, which may include attendance records, registration, and staffing responsibilities.
