About The Position

Lake Area Discovery Center is hiring a Pre-K Assistant Teacher at Faithful Shepherd's Discovery Center in Eagan, Minnesota. The role works alongside the Lead Teacher and teaching team to support Pre-K students during the afternoon portion of their school day. It is described as a full-time, year-round (12-month) position, although the posting also calls the hours part-time, consistent weekday afternoons. Requirements

Must meet applicable Minnesota childcare licensing requirements.
Dependable, positive, and comfortable working as part of a teaching team.

Nice To Haves

Experience working with preschool or Pre-K children is preferred.
Early Childhood Education coursework or experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Assist the Lead Teacher with the daily Pre-K classroom routine.
Engage with children during learning activities, centers, outdoor play, and transitions.
Support a positive, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment.
Assist with afternoon activities and end-of-day routines.
Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom.
Work collaboratively with Lead Teachers, assistants, and on-site staff.
Follow LADC policies and Minnesota childcare licensing requirements.
