About The Position

The Goddard School is seeking part-time and full-time preschool assistant teachers to join their team. This role is ideal for individuals with experience working with children who are interested in a career in early childhood education. The Goddard School offers a premium educational experience in state-of-the-art facilities, focusing on providing a safe, dynamic, and nurturing environment for children aged six weeks to six years old. The school utilizes current, academically endorsed methods to ensure children have fun while learning essential skills for success in school and life. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Shows empathy and compassion for young children
• Is dependable and adaptable and enjoys working together toward a common goal
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations
• For Infant and Young Toddler Teachers, must be able to properly lift infants into and out of a crib

Nice To Haves

• Associate or Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred

Responsibilities

• Establishing and maintaining a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment
• Supporting each child’s social and emotional development
• Preparing children age 4-5 for Kindergarten by teaching them phonics and writing their name
• Establishing positive and effective family relations
• Working with the lead teacher and in conjunction with the entire faculty
