About The Position

Uncommon Schools is seeking dedicated teachers for all grades and subjects for the 25-26 and 26-27 school years. Teachers are responsible for implementing Uncommon’s curriculum and ensuring student success. The role requires a commitment to continuous improvement through collaboration and professional development. Uncommon Schools is a nonprofit network of public charter schools focused on providing exceptional education in economically disadvantaged communities, aiming to close the college completion gap.

Nice To Haves

  • A background in education is not required for new teachers, but strong candidates should show a demonstrated passion for working with K-12 students.
  • Prior experience working in schools and/or urban communities is preferred.
  • Proven track-record of high achievement in the classroom (for experienced teachers).
  • Minimum of two years teaching experience in an urban public school or charter school setting preferred (for experienced teachers).
  • Valid State Certification and Master’s degree are helpful but not required.
