About The Position

A Pre Grad therapist is responsible for accepting referrals and maintaining a client load. To assist in the fulfillment of our mission, an associate therapist will also have the opportunity to educate the local church through facilitating groups, speaking engagements, minister training, etc. Through a respectful, constructive and energetic style, guided by the mission of the center, an associate therapist will seek to facilitate the work of the Holy Spirit in the lives of the client.

Requirements

  • Must be available to start Fall 2026.
  • Must be able to develop treatment plans within 72 hours after intake.
  • Must be able to update/modify treatment plans every 4 weeks.
  • Must be able to develop progress notes 48 hours after every session.
  • Must be able to perform clinical assessments or develop treatment plans within 2 days of establishing care with the existing patient.

Nice To Haves

  • Goal of 50% ORS improvement within 8 weeks of OP therapy.

Responsibilities

  • Counsel clients or patients, individually, in weekly group, IOP or PHP sessions, to assist in overcoming dependencies, adjusting to life, or making changes.
  • Make internal referrals to IOP if little to no improvement occurs within 8 weeks.
  • Guide clients in the development of skills or strategies for dealing with their problems.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans based on clinical experience and knowledge, establishing SMART goals with the patient.
  • Fill out and maintain client-related paperwork, including client diagnostic records and progress notes.
  • Prepare and maintain all required treatment records and reports.
  • Evaluate clients' physical or mental condition, based on review of client information.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to perform clinical assessments or develop treatment plans within 2 days of establishing care with the existing patient.
  • Refer patients, clients, or family members to community resources or to specialists as necessary.
  • Learn about new developments in counseling by reading professional literature, attending courses and seminars, or establishing and maintaining contact with other social service agencies (i.e. continuing education requirements).
