About The Position
As a Pre-Encounter Representative at Main Line Health, you will be the initial contact for scheduled patients entering our facilities. Your primary responsibilities include accurate and timely pre-registration, verification of all financial information, confirmation of precertifications/referrals, and notification of financial liability to patients. This role is crucial for ensuring all financial and regulatory requirements are met, making a significant impact by creating a positive first impression for our patients.
Requirements
- Knowledge of personal computer and relevant software applications is required.
- Two years working in customer service is required.
- Knowledge of medical terminology required.
Nice To Haves
- Minimum of two year’s registration experience in a medical setting is preferred.
- Experience working with billing and financial data preferred.
- Knowledge of insurance and reimbursement preferred.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the initial contact for scheduled patients entering Main Line Health facilities.
- Perform accurate and timely pre-registration for patients.
- Verify all financial information for patients.
- Verify all precertifications and referrals.
- Notify scheduled patients of their financial liability.
- Ensure all financial and regulatory requirements are met.
