About The Position
The Pre-Encounter Representative at Ellis Preserve will be the initial contact for scheduled patients entering Main Line Health facilities. This role is responsible for accurate and timely pre-registration, verification of all financial information, verification of all precertifications/referrals, and notification of financial liability to all scheduled patients, ensuring all financial and regulatory requirements are met.
Requirements
- Knowledge of personal computer and relevant software applications is required.
- Two years working in customer service is required.
- Knowledge of medical terminology required.
Nice To Haves
- Minimum of two year’s registration experience in a medical setting is preferred.
- Experience working with billing and financial data preferred.
- Knowledge of insurance and reimbursement preferred.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the initial contact for scheduled patients entering Main Line Health facilities.
- Perform accurate and timely pre-registration.
- Verify all financial information.
- Verify all precertifications/referrals.
- Notify scheduled patients of their financial liability.
- Ensure all financial and regulatory requirements are met.
