About The Position

This role is designed for candidates who plan to pursue advanced graduate studies (e.g., a Ph.D. or M.D.) and offers an opportunity to engage in rigorous research projects under the mentorship of leading scholars. The position provides hands-on experience in research methodologies, data analysis, and academic writing, making it an excellent stepping-stone for future educational and research careers. The Kingston Laboratory in the MGH Department of Molecular Biology is recruiting new college graduates to join our research group and enrich their scientific development working in the exciting field of epigenetics. We are seeking a highly motivated candidate to assist with projects studying molecular machines (Polycomb and Trithorax Group protein complexes) that modulate chromatin structure to maintain appropriate gene expression during development. This position offers the opportunity to learn advanced techniques in molecular biology, cell biology, protein biochemistry, cell culture and genetic editing in the study of chromatin regulatory complexes both in vitro and in vivo. Numerous projects provide opportunities for independent research and publication. This position is ideal for the graduating student who is looking for 2-3 years of research experience before pursuing graduate studies.
