About The Position

As part of the vehicle distribution process, the Pre-Delivery Service Technician performs vehicle functionality checks and makes adjustments or aligns parts according to guidelines or product operating requirements. The role includes completing pre-delivery inspections to confirm vehicles are ready for sale, installing wheel covers and mats as required, and processing and shipping final vehicles daily. The technician works closely with Quality Inspectors and is responsible for the care of tools furnished by SETIP.

The position may also involve special assignments, cross-training for other Vehicle Processing Center positions, and work at either Jacksonville VPC location (Westlake or Blount Island) as needed. Assignments between locations may be temporary or permanent based on operational needs. Some Saturday work may be required depending on workload, and flexibility to work overtime or alternate assignments is expected. The job description may be amended at JM Family's discretion, and work arrangements are subject to associate performance, business need, and manager discretion.

Requirements

• Previous mechanical or automotive experience is preferred.
• Working knowledge of installation tools.
• Able to lift 75 pounds independently, stand for extended periods, and crouch, bend, and twist constantly.
• Quality-minded, detail-oriented, and able to follow instructions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to work effectively with teammates and with limited supervision.
• Strong housekeeping and organizational skills to align with the 5S initiative.
• Able to meet production output expectations.
• Willingness to be cross-trained for multiple positions within the Vehicle Processing Center.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Excellent work and attendance record.
• Demonstrated flexibility to work overtime and alternate assignments as needed.
• Willingness to work at either Jacksonville VPC location (Westlake or Blount Island) as needed.
