Amazon's Global Engineering Services (GES) North America Design & Construction team is seeking a Preconstruction Manager to serve as Amazon's owner's representative during the preconstruction phase of facility delivery. In this role, you will independently manage difficult, cross-functional industrial preconstruction projects — from site selection and validation through design management, permitting, and contract execution — for new builds, retrofits, expansions, and program initiatives across your assigned region. You will partner with internal teams — including Real Estate, Design Engineering, Finance, and Construction — and external stakeholders — including architects, engineers, developers, landlords, and permitting agencies — to establish scope, budget, and schedule, and to ensure timely receipt of building and site permits. You are accountable for a clean, well-defined handoff to the Construction Manager, and you remain a key support resource for the construction team throughout the project lifecycle. Projects include fulfillment centers, sortation centers, delivery stations, and auxiliary buildings supporting Amazon's logistics network, ranging from targeted renovations to large-scale new facility builds. This role combines construction engineering, planning, project management, real estate development, multi-disciplinary design management, and contract management. This role requires 60% regional travel and availability to work from a corporate office when not traveling.
