About The Position

R+L Carriers has an immediate opening for a Pre-Clerk to work in our Ypsilanti, MI Service Center. This is a part-time position on the 2nd shift, Monday - Friday, from 4 PM to 10 PM. The role involves answering calls on a multi-line system, redirecting calls, data entry, processing driver paperwork, and assisting dispatchers. Additional duties may be assigned by management.

Requirements

• Ability to multitask and have a sense of urgency
• Ability to type 30 WPM with accuracy
• Dependable and well-organized
• Must be computer literate
• Possess strong office, telephone, and communication skills
• Basic knowledge of Windows, Outlook and other Microsoft products

Nice To Haves

• 2+ years of experience as a clerk or similar role in a fast-paced environment
• Freight logistics experience

Responsibilities

• Answering calls on a multi-line system
• Redirecting calls to appropriate contacts
• Data entry
• Processing driver paperwork
• Assisting dispatchers
• Other duties as requested by management
