About The Position

Under the general supervision of the Surgery Nurse Manager, the Pre-Admission Testing Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for seeing patients for Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) appointments or placing PAT phone calls, if appropriate, for patients scheduled for surgery prior to date of surgery. This role involves conducting pre-admission assessments, reviewing medical and medication history, and ordering appropriate lab work, x-rays, and other necessary tests. The RN is responsible for implementing the policies and procedures of the Surgery Department to ensure the appropriateness of care for all patients.

Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio.
  • Current BLS & ACLS certifications.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of one (1) year work experience in the operating room.
