About The Position

Driven by continued growth and a commitment to exceptional patient outcomes, our Ambulatory Surgery Center is expanding its clinical team. We are looking for healthcare professionals who are passionate about quality care and creating a positive patient experience. Rebound Surgery Center is seeking a full-time Pre Admission RN to join our dedicated surgical care team. This position works Monday - Friday, 8 hours per day. The Pre Admission RN will start onsite, then eventually work a hybrid position. Requirements

• Associate or BS Degree or Diploma in Nursing
• Washington State RN License.
• One year Pre Admission, Pre or Post PACU experience.
• Epic Experience.
• Must have good assessment skills.
• Good communication skills, positive attitude with good team-building skills.
• Oral/written communication, analysis/problem solving, medical terminology, skill in teaching patients/families about procedures, and knowledge of nursing practices; ability to practice in multidisciplinary team.
• Must be adaptable and willing to complete other tasks as assigned.
• BLS through AHA required.

Responsibilities

• Practice appropriate telephone and patient triage skills, being aware of the need to balance quality care with efficient use of time and resources.
• Perform verbal assessment with the patient prior to admission via telephone and communicating information to appropriate team members
• Assess pertinent information and document
• Respond to telephone inquiries regarding expressed needs of the caller
• Thoroughly document all call encounters utilizing manual and/or online information systems at the time of the call
• Alert anesthesia of special needs of individual with medical problems prior to date of surgery
• Use effective communication techniques which adhere to common standards of courtesy
• Answer inquiries in a timely and helpful manner
• Communicate arrival time and NPO instructions to patients as prescribed.
