About The Position

Hess Spine and Orthopedics is a leading orthopedic and spine surgery practice committed to providing high-quality care to patients with spine and extremity injuries. We focus on treating individuals involved in accidents, work-related injuries, and those with health insurance. We are seeking a highly experienced Practice Operations MANAGER to join our leadership team and help drive the next phase of our growth. The Practice Operations MANAGER will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational functions of the practice across multiple locations. This key leadership role requires a hands-on executive with deep experience in medical practice management, including a strong background in auto accident, workers' compensation, and commercial insurance workflows.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of operations leadership experience in a medical practice setting (orthopedic, spine, or pain management preferred).
  • 5 + years of experience handling MVA, Workers’ Comp, and commercial insurance processes.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to drive accountability.
  • Proficiency in medical , EHR systems, and healthcare compliance.
  • Bachelor's degree required.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's in Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and optimize all clinical and administrative operations.
  • Drive performance and efficiency across scheduling, patient flow, and front/back office processes.
  • Oversee compliance with healthcare regulations, coding standards, and payer requirements.
  • Streamline operations and protocols for motor vehicle accident (MVA), workers’ compensation, and out-of-network commercial insurance cases.
  • Work directly with physicians, department heads, and staff to support quality patient care and operational excellence.
  • Manage hiring, training, and performance of staff across departments.
  • Monitor KPIs and implement continuous improvement strategies based on data analysis.
  • Lead expansion efforts and integration of new sites and service lines.
