Key responsibilities include supervising and providing leadership to support and clinical staff (medical assistants, lab/x-ray technicians, nurses), managing personnel aspects like hiring, scheduling, performance reviews, and terminations. The manager also oversees onsite charge entry, copy collection, and acts as a working supervisor for front desk, medical records, and billing functions. They evaluate patient flow and office operations for efficiency and cost-effectiveness, implement quality improvement strategies, and interpret operational and clinical income data. The position involves collaborating with practice leaders on annual budgets and strategic planning, analyzing financial reports, and presenting key performance indicators monthly. The manager may also assist with internal and external marketing plans, website updates, and social media interactions. Annually, they review the practice compliance plan, ensure staff training and certifications are current, maintain patient confidentiality according to HIPAA, and work with IT vendors for equipment functionality. Additionally, they are responsible for inventory management, vendor relationships, and evaluating services needed for the practice.
