About The Position

The Practice Manager at Mountain View Veterinary Clinic is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the practice's operations, including staff management, financial operations, client relations, daily activities, marketing, business development, community relations, compliance, and technology management. This role requires strong leadership, financial acumen, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service and patient care. The Practice Manager will foster a positive work environment, ensure efficient operations, and drive business growth while adhering to all regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a managerial role, preferably in a veterinary practice or healthcare setting.
  • Demonstrated experience in P&L management and financial analysis is preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • CVPM, CVBL and/or a bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration or other relevant areas are preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead all practice staff, including veterinary technicians, receptionists, and support staff.
  • Manage staff recruitment, record-keeping, onboarding, training, and performance.
  • Develop and optimize staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage and manage labor costs.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative work environment.
  • Oversee the practice’s financial operations, including budgeting, billing, and expense management.
  • Collaborate with key partners to set and achieve financial goals.
  • Ensure accurate and timely billing and payments, and monitor accounts receivables and collection processes.
  • Coach the team to build meaningful connections with clients and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Monitor client reviews and address inquiries and feedback promptly.
  • Maintain a high standard of patient care and client communication.
  • Ensure the smooth operation of daily activities, including inventory management, scheduling, office supplies, and equipment maintenance.
  • Implement and refine practice policies and procedures to improve efficiency.
  • Execute marketing strategies to attract and retain clients.
  • Oversee social media, website content, and other marketing materials.
  • Expand the hospital’s presence in the community through events, promotions, and outreach programs.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant veterinary regulatory agencies and health, safety, and labor laws.
  • Oversee practice record-keeping and client/patient databases for accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA requirements related to workplace safety.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and trends.
  • Train staff to effectively utilize practice technology and partner with IT support.
