About The Position

The Center for Human Development (CHD) is seeking an experienced Practice Manager for its Outpatient programming. This role will manage both the CBHC Clinic in Chicopee, MA and the Griswold Clinic in Palmer, MA. The Practice Manager is responsible for ensuring that the Outpatient Behavioral Health Clinic and other programs operated from the outlying office are adequately supervised, marketed, and monitored. This includes achieving quality of care objectives and standards, and ensuring the physical plan functions in a safe and efficient manner.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of practice management or healthcare operations experience.
  • At least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Reliable, registered & insured vehicle and approved driving record check.
  • Approved criminal background check (CORI).
  • Working knowledge of behavioral health billing, including CPT codes for and associated payer requirements.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and applicable state behavioral health regulations.
  • Demonstrated experience managing staff across multiple locations or departments.
  • Proficiency with EHR/practice management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead through influence.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a behavioral health, mental health, or outpatient clinical setting is strongly preferred.
  • Master’s degree in healthcare administration (MHA), Business Administration (MBA), or related field.
  • CMPE (Certified Medical Practice Executive) or equivalent professional certification preferred.
  • Experience with value-based care models, collaborative care, or integrated behavioral health.
  • Familiarity with CARF or Joint Commission accreditation standards for behavioral health.
  • Experience supporting telehealth operations in an outpatient behavioral health setting.
