About The Position

The Practice Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of multiple affiliated medical practices within NCH. The role involves collaborating with clinical, operational, and medical staff to deliver high-quality, cost-effective, patient-centric care. The Practice Manager will develop and implement quality improvement plans, manage overhead expenses, and ensure providers meet their contracted patient hours. Supervision responsibilities include the development of staff through education, coaching, and performance reviews, under the guidance of the management. This role requires a commitment to developing and maintaining high standards of practice, policy, and procedure to ensure exceptional care delivery within the specialty services division.

Requirements

  • An AS/BS degree in medical or business management is preferred.
  • Association-accredited course in Basic Life Support (BLS) (for clinical staff), or Heartsaver CPR AED (for nonclinical staff), and renewal on a regular basis, with up to a three-month grace period after the expiration date.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficient in budgeting and financial management.
  • Understanding of healthcare operations and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and teams effectively.
  • Proficiency in using HR and timekeeping systems
  • Prior healthcare leadership experience of 3-5 years is required

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant certifications in healthcare management are a plus

Responsibilities

  • Manage overall clinics and administrative functions of assigned practices.
  • Collaborate with medical staff and practice leadership to ensure patient, provider, and staff needs are met.
  • Complete annual RHC program evaluations for designated practices under the Director of Specialty Care's direction.
  • Create and maintain a positive work environment through effective communication, including monthly staff meetings.
  • Ensure adequate staffing levels for smooth practice operations.
  • Oversee quality monitoring and improvement, focusing on patient, staff, and provider satisfaction and adherence to quality indicators.
  • Work with teams to ensure timely patient appointments.
  • Promote effective customer and physician relations, responding promptly to event reports.
  • Ensure appropriate clinical chart audits per policy and requests from internal and external sources.
  • Collaborate with NCH and AVH staff on strategic initiatives under the Director of Specialty Care's supervision.
  • Function as an effective management team member.
  • Utilize Quorum productivity measures to benchmark and improve practice performance.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory bodies and maintain a state of constant preparedness.
  • Establish cascading goals and ensure benchmarks are met annually.
  • Coordinate and manage daily nursing operations, including patient assignments and staff scheduling.
