About The Position

The Practice Manager will cultivate a positive work environment, collaborate with department managers, enforce policies, and ensure operational efficiency. This role involves fostering a positive and supportive work environment, cultivating an open, honest, team-oriented work culture, and responding to concerns of patients, providers, and staff patiently and with the goal of helping everyone succeed. The Practice Manager works closely with Department Managers to oversee daily work activities, troubleshooting challenges that arise and delegating to the appropriate manager. This includes keeping open communication and meeting regularly to address concerns. A daily review of time and attendance is required to ensure appropriate coverage and reaching out to the Regional/Department Manager as issues need addressed. The role involves enforcing NorthShore policies regarding professionalism, punctuality, dress code, and culture for all employees within their clinic. Ensuring exam rooms, workstations, all equipment, and other work areas are organized, clean, and functional is also a key responsibility. The Practice Manager will monitor supply inventories to ensure operational levels are maintained, and monitor, inspect, and report incidents as they arise within the clinic. This role works with the compliance department and coordinates all site-specific programs, and is responsible for monthly and quarterly site inspections and conducts all required drills and inspections. Addressing Safety Zone issues and providing support to other NSHC sites of varying levels as needed are also part of the role. Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to analyze situations and solve problems at strategic and tactical levels
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies
  • Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization's hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors
  • Practiced at organization and planning
