About The Position

Open Door Health Services is seeking a full-time Practice Manager for its Urgent Care department. This role is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the clinic, ensuring efficient, high-quality, and patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment. The Practice Manager will oversee clinic performance in operations, staffing, quality, patient experience, and financial outcomes. This position involves partnering with providers and leadership to improve access, optimize patient flow, and support care delivery for underserved populations within a Federally Qualified Health Center setting. Open Door Health Services provides comprehensive primary, urgent, preventive, and select specialty services and social support programs for individuals and families, regardless of their ability to pay, serving diverse backgrounds and orientations.

Requirements

  • Previous leadership or management experience required
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Experience managing staff, schedules, and workflows
  • Ability to interpret and act on performance data

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily clinic operations including patient flow, staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation
  • Ensure appropriate coverage across all hours of operation to support patient access
  • Optimize throughput, including door-to-provider time and overall length of stay
  • Monitor and support key performance indicators related to access, volume, and patient experience
  • Develop and implement workflows to improve efficiency and reduce variation
  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, regulatory, and safety standards
  • Maintain clinic readiness including supplies, equipment, and environment of care
  • Partner with providers and clinical leadership to support clinic performance
  • Review trends to inform staffing, scheduling, and operational decisions
  • Lead performance improvement efforts and support accreditation readiness
  • Supervise and support staff including medical assistants and front office team members
  • Lead hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management
  • Serve as a point of support for patient and staff concerns
