About The Position

Baptist Health Medical Group is seeking a Practice Manager II for Neurosurgery in Elizabethtown and Bardstown, KY. This is a full-time position responsible for the daily operations and supervision of the practice, focusing on objective measures through a "balanced scorecard" approach. The role involves managing physician and staff schedules, overseeing equipment and supply needs, preparing annual budgets, and collaborating with Marketing and Public Relations to enhance the clinic's public image. The Practice Manager II will establish and maintain efficient patient flow systems and positive working relationships with patients, visitors, physicians, employees, and coworkers. This position also serves as the facility’s representative to the business community and public, plans new programs, researches market opportunities, and develops plans for marketing new or existing services. Daily financial tasks include balancing, bank depositing, and invoice processing. Periodic audits of charts, policies, and procedures are also a key responsibility, along with interviewing, hiring, orienting, developing, and evaluating employees.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in business or health care related field.
  • 4+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Excellent leadership, analytical and project management skills as demonstrated by the ability to manage personnel and technical issues and the knowledge of financial analysis tools and PC skills.
  • Must have an in-depth knowledge of the payor environment, patient service delivery systems and federal/state rules and regulations regarding billing processes.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the daily operations and supervision of the practice, including objective measures in a “balanced scorecard” approach.
  • Schedules physician and staff personnel and manages leave requests.
  • Make recommendations regarding equipment and supplies needed to maintain efficient operations; order supplies and equipment as needed.
  • Prepare and submit an annual budget.
  • Work with Marketing and Public Relations as needed to enhance public image of the clinic.
  • Establishes and maintains an efficient and responsive patient flow system.
  • Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with patients, visitors, physicians. employees and coworkers.
  • Serves as the facility’s representative to the business community and public at large.
  • Plan new programs to be developed within the office.
  • Research and isolates opportunities and develops plans for Director review to market new or existing services the facilities may offer.
  • Daily balancing and bank depositing and invoice processing.
  • Conduct periodic audits of charts, policies and procedures and/or direct this process for the entire facility.
  • Responsible for interviewing, hiring, orientation, development, and evaluation of employees.
