About The Position

Kimley-Horn has an opportunity for a motivated Practice Leader to expand our Pasco County Transportation Planning/Traffic practice in Wesley Chapel, FL! This role involves leading and growing a transportation engineering practice, focusing on transportation planning, traffic engineering, roadway, and ITS-related projects. The Practice Leader will be responsible for marketing, business development, project delivery, and staff leadership, with a significant degree of autonomy.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of transportation planning, traffic engineering and design, traffic operations, and/or ITS planning and design experience
  • Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
  • Track record of successfully winning and delivering work in the local area
  • Established relationships with local DOT, local agencies, and/or local municipalities
  • Demonstrated ability to manage transportation projects profitably through agency specifications
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and technical skills
  • Strong desire and ability to be engaged with clients solving project problems
  • Ability to effectively communicate positively at all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects profitably

Responsibilities

  • Has an entrepreneurial spirit, creating a vision for growth in their personal practice while contributing to the growth of our transportation engineering practice in the local area and beyond
  • Assists in marketing and business development efforts with our existing local municipal, state, and private clients, while delivering a wide variety of transportation planning, traffic engineering, roadway, and/or ITS-related projects with our growing team of transportation professionals
  • Beyond serving our existing clients, has the ability to pursue own passions, leads, and clients
