About The Position

Haynes and Boone, a global Am Law 100 law firm, is seeking an upperclass law student to serve as the Practice Innovation Intern on the firm’s Practice Innovation team during the Fall 2026 semester (September – December 2026). This is a part-time, paid role (approximately 20 hours/week) supporting the firm’s Practice Innovation team, with a primary focus on generative AI and emerging legal technologies. Requirements

Strong academic performance, particularly in legal research and writing
Demonstrated interest and hands-on experience using generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, or similar)
Ability to think critically about how technology can be applied to legal workflows
Strong written communication skills and attention to detail

Developing and testing AI-assisted workflows for legal research, drafting, and data extraction
Creating practical guidance materials (e.g., prompt libraries, use case examples, training content)
Monitoring developments in generative AI and legal technology and translating them into actionable insights for the firm
Supporting internal pilots and experimentation with new tools and capabilities
