About The Position

The Practice Growth Specialist serves as a trusted execution partner to assigned attorneys, supporting practice growth through relationship development, referral network expansion, and practice management initiatives. This role is responsible for identifying growth opportunities, driving accountability, orchestrating strategic priorities, and ensuring disciplined execution in support of relationship development and practice objectives. The Practice Growth Specialist acts as a bridge between attorneys and the firm's Business Development & Marketing Department, helping translate practice goals into actionable individual attorney initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in a law firm, professional services, or other fast-paced, client-facing environment.
  • Experience supporting partners, senior attorneys, or executive leadership in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong project management, organizational, and execution capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of professionalism, judgment, and discretion.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities with minimal supervision.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, with the ability to develop high-quality documents, reports, and presentations.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Copilot and other AI-enabled productivity tools, with the ability to leverage such tools to enhance efficiency, research, drafting, and workflow management.
  • Experience with social media platforms, including LinkedIn and Instagram, as professional visibility and relationship management tools.
  • Experience with content management tools, scheduling platforms, and digital communication tools used to support marketing, communications, or visibility initiatives.
  • Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize information to support strategic decision-making.
  • Ability to work effectively across departments, including Marketing, Business Development, Finance, and Operations, and to coordinate initiatives without direct authority.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Commercial Real Estate a plus.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and professional services databases (e.g., InterAction or equivalent) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage complex calendars and coordinate internal and external meetings, client appointments, and travel.
  • Monitor emails and help triage or follow up on client communications, outreach items, and administrative requests as needed.
  • Support attorneys in developing and executing practice growth initiatives, including maintaining task lists, deadline tracking and partner, client and initiative follow-up.
  • Prepare meeting agendas, assemble background materials, and track post-meeting action items to support follow-through and accountability.
  • Identify and evaluate prospective client, referral source, and market opportunities.
  • Conduct research and analysis on clients, industries, and market activity to inform strategy and planning.
  • Support execution of priority initiatives, including complex client matters and strategic projects.
  • Prepare weekly status reports in order to maintain visibility into pipeline activity, relationship development efforts, and related growth priorities.
  • Support attorneys in managing and developing key client and referral relationships.
  • Track relationship activity, engagement history, and follow-up actions to ensure continuity and accountability.
  • Prepare background information for client, prospect, and referral meetings and coordinate with Business Development & Marketing on pitch and proposal materials.
  • Identify gaps in referral coverage and opportunities to strengthen relationship development.
  • Coordinate structured referral outreach efforts, including tracking and follow-up.
  • Support individual attorney visibility strategies across LinkedIn, Instagram, and other professional platforms.
  • Coordinate speaking engagements, industry panels, conferences, publications, association involvement, and podcast-related initiatives in coordination with Business Development & Marketing Department.
  • Partner with Business Development & Marketing to support content development, promotion, and distribution.
  • Maintain meticulous records and track visibility efforts and related outcomes, including engagement metrics and downstream opportunities.
  • Serve as a liaison between attorneys and Business Development & Marketing on practice-specific initiatives.
  • Translate practice priorities into actionable requests and coordinate timing, follow-through, and deliverables.
  • Ensure alignment between practice objectives and broader firm initiatives, campaigns, and marketing-supported growth efforts.
  • Update attorney biographies, experience lists, and related profile materials on a timely basis.
  • Help maintain the firm’s CRM database (currently InterAction), ensuring accuracy of client, prospect, referral source, and contact information.
