This role works closely with the Practice Manager on the direction, coordination, and administration of policies, procedures, and programs for the practice setting. The Practice Coordinator delivers cost-effective health care services by supporting the practice manager in managing day-to-day operations and procedures. They establish work schedules, task assignments, and allocation of manpower, space, and equipment to ensure effective and efficient patient care. The role also satisfies treatment and service requirements by following clinical guidelines and facilitating collaboration between clinical and administrative staff to continuously improve patient satisfaction. Additionally, the Practice Coordinator assists the practice manager in resolving patient complaints, coordinates human resources functions, provides input for performance appraisals, and works with management to manage budgetary activities. They participate in marketing and business development, ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements, and serve as a liaison with various stakeholders. The role also involves coordinating building maintenance and ensuring adherence to company values and policies. Participation in team meetings and continuous quality improvement activities is also expected.
