About The Position

Kimley-Horn has an opportunity for a motivated Senior Leader to expand and lead our Power Delivery practice in the greater Los Angeles and surrounding markets. The successful candidate will lead a practice specializing in Power Delivery (transmission, substation, and/or power studies) engineering services. This individual will have an entrepreneurial spirit and create a vision for growth for a Power Delivery practice while growing their own projects, clients and team around them.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of relevant experience managing wind energy or related projects
  • Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
  • Familiar with the relevant standards, regulations, and best practices for power delivery projects
  • Extensive client contacts and relationships with local architects, developers, land use attorneys, planners and/or landowners
  • Strong technical skills in AutoCAD Civil3D, Excel, and/or GIS
  • Business development and marketing experience including writing proposals, scopes of work, and budgeting for projected work
  • Ability to effectively communicate positively at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to manage & mentor staff, and direct resources effectively in a positive manner
  • Demonstrated ability to manage land development projects profitably
