About The Position

As PR Lead, you will own external communications, including the narrative, earned media program, executive and founder positioning, reputation and crisis communications, and the events program. This role involves managing a substantial monthly agency retainer, setting the narrative, directing agencies, holding them accountable for outcomes, and discontinuing services that do not deliver. You will personally manage founder and executive positioning, crisis communications, and strategic decisions on external messaging timing and content.

Requirements

  • 6+ years in PR or communications.
  • Direct experience running external agencies as the client and holding them to results.
  • Demonstrable tier-1 business, financial, fintech, or crypto coverage personally shaped or secured.
  • Real crisis communications experience in a scrutinized or regulated category.
  • Track record of founder or executive comms: building a credible public voice from a low base.
  • Excellent news judgment and a very high standard of written English.
  • Experience with major event and conference programs, sponsorship, and partnership communications.
  • Comfortable working with Legal and Compliance on sensitive external communications.
  • Commercially literate about agency spend: ability to read a retainer, judge its cost-effectiveness, and make recommendations.
  • Fluent English.

Nice To Haves

  • Crypto or digital assets media experience.
  • Additional languages relevant to priority markets.

Responsibilities

  • Own the global PR narrative, including priority markets, media, narrative pillars, and a 6-month coverage ambition.
  • Manage the agency portfolio as an accountable program: briefs, KPIs, monthly reviews, consolidation of overlapping scopes, and renewal/exit decisions.
  • Own the news pipeline: identify, shape, and land stories from product launches, milestones, data, partnerships, and category commentary, ensuring agencies are fed with news.
  • Directly own founder and executive positioning: speaking platforms, keynotes, podcasts, op-eds, LinkedIn, awards, and rankings.
  • Directly own reputation and crisis communications: risk map, holding statements, escalation protocols, and spokesperson training, in coordination with Legal, Compliance, and SERM/ORM.
  • Build and maintain senior media relationships in priority outlets, independent of agency access.
  • Own the events and side-events program with the Event Manager, including conference selection, activities, and desired outcomes.
  • Align all external messages with the brand platform and product narratives, acting as the final gatekeeper for external communications.
  • Build the media narrative for a regulated and often misunderstood category, in coordination with Compliance.
  • Define and report PR KPIs: coverage quality against a defined tier list, share of voice, message pull-through, executive visibility, and cost per outcome across the agency portfolio.

Benefits

  • Professional growth: support for courses, conferences, and English learning (up to 100% coverage).
  • Work-life fit: remote or hybrid format with flexible hours across international teams.
  • Paid leave: up to 20 vacation days + 8 company holidays + 5 personal days per year.
  • Recognition programs: structured performance reviews and team awards.
  • Team culture: retreats in international locations (for example, company apartments in Cyprus).
