PR & Communications Lead - Base44
About The Position
Base44 is looking for a PR & Communications Lead to own our story to the outside world, to the press, the market, and the community of builders we're building for. This is a role rooted in classic, real PR: media relations, messaging, launches, competitive positioning, and writing that explains how Base44 is opening up software creation to a much wider range of people. Alongside that, the role owns our voice on LinkedIn and social, and works closely with sales and marketing to turn business momentum into stories that land with both journalists and the market. We're looking for someone who's already done this, with a track record, relationships, and real PR instincts, but who also brings an adaptable, hands-on, fresh mindset: uses AI tools personally, and understands this market from the inside, having built things themselves with tools like Base44. Base44 is a newly acquired part of Wix, on a mission to change how products and apps get built. Our AI-powered platform allows anyone to create custom applications using natural language – no traditional coding required. We operate like a startup within Wix: fast-moving, collaborative, and focused on solving complex problems with simple, elegant solutions. Requirements
- Proven experience in communications/PR, in tech, SaaS, AI, or developer tools
- Existing relationships with tech and AI journalists
- Sharp, clear writer
- Comfortable working with sales, marketing, and senior leadership
- Genuine understanding of the AI and builder-tools world, hands-on use is a big plus
- Can move fast in a competitive market without losing precision
- A builder at heart: curious, takes initiative, tries new tools firsthand
Nice To Haves
- LinkedIn/social experience at B2B scale
- Product launch experience
- Personal background as a builder with no-code/AI tools
Responsibilities
- PR and communications strategy, including media relations, launches, messaging, and competitive positioning
- Written content: press releases, blog posts, briefing docs, newsletters, thought leadership
- Base44's voice and presence on LinkedIn and social
- Customer stories, business momentum, and events, turned into content with sales and marketing
- Relationships with tech, AI, and startup journalists
- Visibility and content for company leadership
- Balancing ongoing planning with same-day turnaround when needed
